A SMALL popcorn at our local theater is EIGHT DOLLARS! I'm on the other end of the spectrum, I just do not enjoy the theater experience anymore. It's just not worth the price anymore. I USED to go see a movie simply to just go see a movie. These days, it has to be something I REALLY want to see. More n more, the quality of movies has gone to crap. Lame story lines, over the top (CLICHE!!) action scenes and WAAAAAAAAY too much CGI. In the past 10 years, I have seen maybe 7-8 movies at a theater and was glad I did. I USUALLY leave the theater thinking MEH! and "GEESH! Popcorn went up again??"
I WILL say.....People seem to be getting better with not staring at their phones during a movie. THAT distraction gives me the urge to grab the phones and throw then at the wall...HARD!
