FCP is used by more professional editors than anything else.. I personally know several video editors who are DIE HARD Windows people and they have an entire Mac setup just for Final Cut Pro.. iMovie is a joke.. seriously a joke.. It would amaze me if Mac downgraded Final Cut Pro so that its a dink and dunk program like IMovie..
I'll definitely stick to After Effects.. That's my baby, anyway.. Well, Flash used to be my baby, but its been pretty much neutered into extinction.. So, now Unity and 3D Max are my baby's for Virtual Reality and After Effects for video.. Even the software Go Pro gives you is pure crap.. Its fine if all these companies wanna produce pure crap software for the average joe, as long as they continue to produce the professional software, as well..
