sounds like the real stuff all right. Yes, Everclear....of course the 'good' stuff is illegal here.... 190 proof... but don't worry... the finished product is not 190 proof... you cut it with water, sugar, usually ends up somewhere around 70 proof. BUT... the 190 does a better job of extracting the oil from the lemons.
I used 151. It was hard to find. 120 is common... and it works, just not as well. - JamesJM
