You're definitely not the only person to ever blow a head gasket and warp the aluminum head.. I've done it myself in my '76 TR7.. Scared to death of doing it in the '80, but no issues so far.. Amazingly, the first 7's had plastic radiator caps that cracked and caused the cars to overheat and warp the head - within the first week after purchase! So, they had to change to metal caps.. Sheesh...

Notorious for electrical issues.. I haven't had too many, tho.. all simple stuff - just annoying.. Have replaced tons of stuff in it, tho, in the years I've owned it.. Clutch master and slave cylinders, wheel cylinders, brake pads, shoes, water pump, fuel pump, carbs, dizzy cap, rotor, plug wires, thermostat, radiator, alternator, and on and on and on...
