"They were able to move Richard to a specialty hospital and out of icu. Everyday he is slowly making progress but he has a very long recovery ahead of him. They are expecting him to be in a long term hospital for the next year. He still has the feeding tube until he is able to pass a swallow test. He is still unable to see, the doctors are not sure if the blindness is temporary or permenant. He is barely able to move the left side of his body, However with all of this he is still so nice and in good spirits with everyone. I told him we'd go get a beer when he got out and he said " okay but you're driving " lol. It kills me to see him like this but its nice to see the progress he's making. He's still there , the Richard every one knows. Even with everything he's going through. Today he tried to get his nephew to sneak cookies in to him lol."
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
