could be me perceiving this wrong but to me it seems...

In 2010 they began pulling back from the theatrics...

In 2014 the theatrics seemed on the ropes... here and there but definitely on the way out...

And in 2018... it's back. You may recall that IMHO my fav Italy used to be the worst at this. There were times they made it difficult for me to root for them, to be honest... but there were enough teams doing it that I let it slide. Which brings up a question for an old pro such as yourself:

In your opinion, (don't worry, I know it's just opinion and I'm not saying you have to research this and be 'deadly accurate)... is there any country that through the years was known for NOT engaging in the over-acting theatrics? - JamesJM
