I wonder if Star Trek rehashed would fly? And I mean STAR TREK!

Years before my Brother passed away, we used to say it would be cool if they brought back Star Trek...IN ORIGINAL 1966-68 FORM! Same Starship look, same bridge, same uniforms. BUT....It would not have to be the Enterprise. There were 12-13 other Starships. You could have a totally different crew and have the freedom to make occasional references to Kirk, Spock, McCoy etc. I have always thought that'd be an interesting concept.
