That all depends...

on how much you wanna spend for both tile and bathtubs.. You can go cheap or stupid expensive for both.. if you install the tile, which isn't that difficult, you can save big bucks.. Used to be tile installation was around $3 a square foot.. Probably more now, tho.. you can also look into refinishing a tub for about $200 - at least here in Texas.. You can also refinish the tile, but dunno about the cost..

I just redid our kitchen backsplash with glass tile and it was about $400 total with me doing all the work..
