I was listening to the post game show last night and Jerry Hairston Jr. said Gonzales did go to Italy but returned to So Cal before the WS. He's just not at the stadium but has been texting with most of the Dodgers constantly-including Roberts. So its like any story the truth is somewhere in between the extremes. I did notice that Granderson who is not on the WS roster was in the dugout dressed in his uniform and providing a lot of energetic support for the team. Good for him but I understand if your not on the roster you don't or can't travel with the team.
