If there is one that will cause me to go see a movie the actor is in without caring what the movie is about is Meryl Streep. To me-and I've seen all the great ones-she's be finest actor I've ever seen on the screen.

Orson Wells portrayal of Hearst in Citizen Kane.

Brando in both On the Waterfront and Godfather.

Charlie Chaplin

Jack Lemmon's portrayal of an alcoholic in Days of Wine and Rose.

But IMO there is no finer actor alive today than Streep.
