The last motion picture that won Best Picture at the Oscars, and that I've seen, was "The King's Speech"... in 2010.
I've seen every winner from 2010 back to 2006.
So I'm thinking... I prefer my movies somewhat 'aged'... at least 6 years old.
Furthering my ignorance about movies these days... while reading the list of winners I realized I had never even heard of "Argo", which won in 2012. (or at least have erased any memory of it if I ever had one). And I have no memory of "Crash" from 2005, either.
By the way... recently posted a topic in a group I belong to asking if you had to pick ONE favorite Actor/Actress of all time who would it be? Haven't received many replies yet, (just posted it yesterday), but already a couple of surprises.
And I mean 'surprise' in that their choices I would have not guessed as being at the top of anyone's list, (these are actors in the group where I posted this), and I do NOT mean I don't respect their choices.
The two that surprised me: Robin Williams and Dick Farnsworth. I like them both, a lot, for what it's worth. I actually knew Dick Farnsworth at one time... he had a cabin near our cabin and I spent quite a few summers with him. I don't think he was acting in those days, however.. he was a stunt man. Acting came later.
So... can you name ONE? - JamesJM
