As I've said many times, Iowa.. I can't imagine living in those conditions. Hell, I can't imagine those 'conditions'... much less living there.
Two days ago I had to leave home to go somewhere.. something I am loathe to do these days... and I had to leave early. Oh yeah, it was Church, on Sunday. My front windshield, ALL the windows, in my car were frosted over.... so I turned on my windshield wipers.... wasn't working.... that's when I realized we had, without warning, entered a new ice-age.
You guys have 'tools' to scrape ice off windshields don't ya? I have seen them in movies. I don't. I had my pocket knife... but for church I carry only my 3 bladed 3" pocket knife.... in case I have to clean my fingernails or scrape gum off the bottom of my shoe. I can only get about ½ inch of blade on the surface of a windshield at any one time... so needless to say I was scrapping for a very long time. I was late for church. - JamesJM
