access to a lot of good stuff for an even better price then most and, that turned out to be nothing but a good thing.

My stepdad worked for a major tire company so I did get a good deal, on tires. I only had my first car for maybe 2 years before I went in the Navy but I think I put three different sets of tires on that car and the tires were all really nice ones.

Fortunately I did grow up knowing most of the car shop owners in our area so when I did need something or work done they always seemed to be there to help.

Nowadays those connections might be a little harder to come by.

I've moved past my car hobby days but they sure were fun plus the hobby allowed me to meet some great folks and have some awesome memories.
