I was looking at keychains for the girlie girl and one site required an email to browse, normally I don't do that but I did because I liked the style that I saw.

Of course they hit me with email after email. One of the emails was for a product that "sharpened" disposable razors. So I looked at it then hit Google for reviews and it was one of a few products that were well received. But........mixed in were some "lifehack" tips and I checked out several of them.

As it turns out the blades don't actually get dull for a long, long time, they just get coated with skin cells and a microscopic layer of stuff like shave cream and other things.

So I watched some videos, I'll post one below and followed that advice. I put in a new blade, Schick Quattro, which I would never have purchased because really who needs 5 blades and who would pay that much but I picked them up at Costco for a very low price. The top strip is on a hinge and can fold back to really rinse it out well.

I followed the advice on how to take care of the blades. Three months later I was still using the same blade with no problems and I shave 5 or 6 times a week. And my girlie does some occasional leg shaving and "detailing" when she is spending the night and we are going out, or staying in. The other day I put in a new blade because I wanted to, not because it was dull or dragging. I had a few days of whiskers and wanted a new blade.

This works and it's easy. It's essentially like the old school stropping of a straight razor and it makes complete sense. A leather strop isn't going to "sharpen" steel, it's not hard enough to do that, but it can "clean" steel to get the blades' edge free of crap.

Anyway, this works no BS.
