I heard Arnie say once...

in a tournament in which he and Jack finished tied... that Jack offered to accept the tie, not play it off... (this was at the end of Arnie's career... still competitive, but the glory days were over)...

Arnie told that on TV, to the world... then admitted, "I wanted to win". They played off the tie, Jack won.

I thought Arnie showed class... letting the word know what Jack had offered, and also showed why he was one of the greatest competitors in all of sport.
