but I love weather. That's because we don't have weather in central Ca. Well, none to speak of anyway.
When the very rare torrential rain and lightening storms do come through, as happened this year in fact, I chase them, try to get in the middle of them.
One of the greatest experiences of my life, though terrifying, was sitting out a Lightening storm in the Sierra Nevada Mtns.
I remember being in, I think it was NM but perhaps Oklahoma.. and seeing a 'tornado warning' on the TV.. I went in search of it.
NOW... before you scold me. I have never been 'closely' threatened by a tornado, and I've never been in a Hurricane, (came darn close however... 3 times on one motorcycle trip)... so if I ever DID experience I'd probably be the biggest coward in the area... but from 'afar'... I'd like to experience something like that.
Earthquake are somewhat boring, by the way, which we do have. I wouldn't say that if I was in SF or LA, however. - JamesJM
