I thought the acting was good...

I didn't realize it was a sequel to a SCI-FI flick, so perhaps I would have been better prepared for what seemed to be a "Seriously?" type of ending. Still, it would have scored pretty low for overall plot and character development. Goodman, whom I am not a fan of, did a really nice job, IMO... It would have been my preference that he was more crazy than creepy. Even the very end, where the girl makes the decision to fight or flee is seems far fetched based on her character...
