How much of this, if any, is media driven? I wonder if Rio is truly experiencing profoundly more problems than any other host city in the past or is it that the media has discovered that we want to hear about every plugged toilet?

I'm not trying to say it is media driven, nor am I trying to lessen the problems... which I'm sure have a basis in fact. But the 'negative' stories regarding the upcoming Olympics are dominating the press to such a point that I have to admit I'm wondering how much is hyperbole. - JamesJM
