I could go on for a while about this but instead I'll be brief. The "Olympics" are not the media, or the host city, or Bob Costas... The Olympics are the athletes. If you look beyond the 'dream' teams and the glory sports in which red carpets are laid out in front of the stars there are hundreds, thousands, of young men and women who worked their butts off, much harder than you or I, while supporting themselves sweeping floors and serving fries and living 'without'... all to pursue a dream they saw as more important than the materialism the world flaunts in front of them as the 'real' goal in life. - JamesJM
