I have a friend...

who has done the entire Appalachian Trail a few years ago.. He also did some weird deal where he canoed(?) down the Mississippi River all the way to the Gulf, then followed the coastline around Texas into Mexico where he bartered for food with the locals.. He's a total wilderness guy for sure - I can try to get details of the Appalachian Trail, if you like, but he might be in th emiddle of nowhere right now since he's a school teacher and on summer break..

Yeah, he ain't right, but he's a bass player - go figure - that I played with in the 80's in a glam band called Minx.. Here we are in 1986 at Cardi's in Houston.. He's on the left..
