Monday morning, I'm telling the Clown who has been working on our house since JULY that we are done! Our house was in two phases. The first was new doors, flooring and several other things. That portion of the Contract was SUPPOSED to be done on 21 Sept. We made the second payment (STUPID mistake by us) even though round one still has 4-5 items not complete, including our new fireplace mantle. Stage two was the Kitchen cabinets. That was SUPPOSED to be finished, according to contract, by 15 Oct. Here we are, a day or two from December and we don't even have a counter, much less back splash. We do have half ass / POORLY painted cabinets. Contractor has ignored my texts and calls for a week. I have been very very forgiving with the delays. But after being ignored today?? We are DONE! The only money we owe was based on COMPLETION of the Kitchen. We are NOT paying that. I dare him to threaten a lein. I will report him to the Florida License Division. I cannot stand a thief / or shady business. I have saved ALL missed texts and calls and we have taken about 20 photos of incomplete and crappy work. Gonna tell him lets just call it a day and both walk away as things are now. I already have a guy lined up to REDO the cabinets and fix the other stuff. I am legally able to have the new guy do his thing AND have "Mr No Show " pay for it but I want nothing to do with him. If he fights or tries to screw with me further? IT'S ON!
