James is gonna laugh at my freakish memory but....

I vividly remember watching HOURS of the Jerry Lewis Telethon in 1977. Stands out because that Sunday night, I was spending the night at my friend's house. His Dad was gonna take us to the lake on Labor Day. I was SO excited. We stayed up, eating hamburgers and pizza. I washed it down with tooooo much orange soda because I woke up at 6 AM, THE most queazy I have EVER felt! I threw up 3-4 times. So instead of the Lake, I went home with Mom. Just before she picked me up, my Bud had his Mom call in $5 in his name. I told him I'd look for his name as donors names were scrolled at the bottom of the TV, locally. When I got home, I puked 2 more times and went to the couch where I laid ALLLLL day. I was so sick that if I ever thought of certain colors, I'd puke. LOL It wasn't till almost 5 PM before I saw my Bud's name. Labor Day night, I remember The Sound Of Music came on, after Jerry Lewis. To this day, the ONLY time I have seen that movie from start to finish. If I see clips of it, I feel sick! LOL Man! I'm 57 years old and I call those two days THE most sick I have ever been. Bums me out that my Bud's Dad passed in 2006, my Bud in 2015 and his Mom just 2 years ago. They were always so nice to me when I was a kid.
