we're repainting our church and again I can't remember the date but lead in paint was banned long ago so if you last painted after that date you're good to go. If not... it's hell. You have to call in a special team to clean it and the cost is like 3 times more than the new paint job. We were quoted $13,000 for the paint job and $35,000 for clean up if it had lead.
