Sounds very interesting. Maybe the first idea for a movie that has caught my attention in a few years.

It was touched on in The Longest Day but a LOT of tough decisions were made behind the scenes and a LOT of Weather planning. I have heard they were under TONS of pressure to go, regardless of weather conditions. I can imagine what would have happened had they landed in very bad conditions. This could be a very interesting flick.
