Since reading your post I've been searching great 60's songs, bands, singers, and having one hell of a good time. My granddaughter and I share a playlist with our favorites.... every era, every genre, and since reading your post I've added several tunes to our playlist - many I had not heard in a very long time.
While searching I was reminded of this - during that era, the 60's, I believe I was more into Motown, R&B, than I was the pop music hits. Marvin, Smokey, The Impressions, Sam Cooke, Joe Tex, Wilson Pickett, The 4 Tops, Barbara Lewes, ARETHA!
Those 60's R&B artists more than other genres seem to me to have faded from memory. And that's a damn shame IMHO. - JamesJM
