But I think 'oil change' recommended mileage is mostly to sell oil.. .NOT because it's that harmful to your auto. That said... going WAY over would certainly not be good.

Amazing how far newer cars can go these days before an oil change. My new RAM pickup goes 10,000 between changes. - JamesJM
