I read a article about 7-8 years ago about Amercian Legion Memberships fading fast. A high ranking Official said that too many Vets feel that they are for Vets of Combat. They are for all Vets. Heck, my late Brother stopped by one about 20 years ago to simply thank any Vet in there. Next thing he knew, he was a regular. They enjoyed him just being there (He was a hoot after a beverage or two) But the article was all about the misunderstanding of so many people in regards who the American Legion is for.
