As you know I live in a very small community. The town has maybe 800 people and the surrounding area perhaps another 100. BUT... we had many WWII and Korean Vets. Nearly all the men of that age served.
Our last vet from that era had a normal funeral and the American Legion was also there. Which is why I'm replying here - can't say enough 'good' about those guys in the American Legion. I don't belong but I should. Problem is that there is no close chapter to me, and that's a lousy excuse. - JamesJM
