Seems like taking care of one of God's creatures should be number 1 on the list.. the red tape of rehoming it should then come second.. who decided the order that they suggest you do things in? Obviously somebody more concerned with paperwork and rule keeping than actually taking care of a living, breathing being..

Still, tho.. you did awesome by taking care of that dog.. total kudos to you and the fam..
