Re: Watched the first two episodes of Shogun

We watched it this morning. I didn't see the original with Richard Chamberlain and I've not read the book so for me it was totally "fresh".
Listening to most of the characters speaking in Japanese and reading the translation on screen takes some getting used to but it's not so bad.
The costumes, scenery, and acting are superb.
Frank and I are impressed.
