I finished watching it this afternoon!
1) Jonathan Tremaine Lewis, founder/President of Civil Righteousness in episode 2 is from St Louis. Didn't know anything about him till he appeared in this documentary. Loved his story about his father-in-law.
2) I liked what Dr. Francis Collins (Physician-Geneticist) had to say about the resurrection in episode 4.
2) Listening to Jonathan describe being at the end of his financial rope in episode 4 and seeing what happened next made me cry.
3) All of the travelling Jonathan had to do and his many media appearances on behalf of the show looked absolutely exhausting and he showed it
4) The risk for Roumie is that he may be typecast now. As an actor who just wants to work... that may not be a good thing.
The plan is for The Chosen series to consist of 7 seasons. Season 1 was filmed in 2019, season 2 in 2021, season 3 in 2022, and season 4 in 2023. Jason Roumie is 49 years old (even though he doesn't look it). Nevertheless, if they continue with the same shooting schedule of one season per year, assuming Roumie stays on the project playing the role of Jesus, he'll be about 52 years old when the whole things is completed. I'm guessing that the last season or 2 won't feature him, though, but focus on his disciples after the Resurrection. However it goes, I'll definitely be watching. It's so well-done and is a treasured series in my video library.
