Most theatres make most their money off of concession

they don't make a whole lot off of the ticket sales

one of our local theaters is in the Mall , they have 7 theatres as it is now , but their doing a whole remodel and adding two new screens , but they will be loosing seating

their taking out all the old theatres style seating and putting in those big recliners

I can't speak for you big city folks , about theatres not being full , but their are so many theatres around were i live, , and their are only so many people ......lol

Spencer here has 9 screens , Okoboji here has 9 screens , Milford here has 4 screens , all within 20 minutes of each other

it's not like the old days , where we had like one screen, , and Jaws played at 7:10 and 9:40 , and that was it

if Jaws came out today , it would play at 11:45 , 12:10 , 3:15 , 3:35 , 5:50 , 6:10 , 9:15 and 9:25 , and 20 minutes away it would play at 11:55 , 12:05 , 3:10 , 3:25 6:55 , 7:05 , 9:45 , 9:55
