GREAT how that worked out for you, ClstRam! And 180 bpm? Geez... that's the highest I've ever hear of. You're a lucky man.
Even when I push myself I rarely get over 130 these days.... back when I was a fanatic about working out I'd get over 150 on some occasions... but that was about it.
What you describe is how I used to judge my fitness level... recuperation time. At my age I'll never get back to 'great shape' but I am hoping to reach a level where I can take at least one more trip past Muir Hut in the Sierra Nevadas. Got a long way to go.... but I'm optimistic. - JamesJM
