I see that there are many on the market and some of them are quite cheap. I use the Fitness App on my Apple Watch... but an Apple Watch is anything BUT cheap.
I see a few... like Fitbit, Garmin, that are under $100.
So anyway... I was slow in using the Fitness App. I thought, "What for? I know I'm running/walking why do I need an app to tell me that?". BUT.... I finally came around.
They are very good. Heart Rate, your pace, calories burned, distance covered, blood oxygen level.... and I don't compare day to day. In other words... I don't worry about setting a record every day.... but I do want to see progress over an extended period... and the App sort of guides me along. I've come to really like it.
I highly recommend using a 'fitness app', if you're interested.
