HOW in the hell do they come up with Prescription names???

I thought about this when I mentioned it as part of another post. I mean.......98% of them literally sound like Vulcan or Klingon names! Just a buncj of letters tossed together by some Chemist! When I was with the Fire Dept, it was one more reason why I HATED riding in Charge when my Officer was on leave. Part of the field report included Meds. BLEW ME AWAY at how many people are taking 7....8.....a DOZEN medications....OR MORE! I have seen some Meds that have close to 15-16 letters in them.
