At the bottom of Shaver...

The lake I was referring to above - - - - there was originally another dam, which made for a much smaller lake. They then put in the big dam and the old one was submerged.

There was also an old wood mill down there... still is, which became visible when the lake was emptied. Lot of people thought there was an old locomotive at the bottom BUT... it was actually known, by those who researched it, that the locomotive was removed before they began filling the lake after putting in the new dam. And actually...

A lot of rumors that had sprouted up over the years regarding what was at the bottom of the lake were put to rest. There were a few surprises, however. Couple boats they didn't know about. I should have walked the bottom after they emptied it and retrieved all the old fishing lures I lost when I snagged rocks. I had to lose $1,000 of fishing lures in that lake.
