Having been on this forum for over 20 years I'm sure I did.
I don't fear many things... but the ocean is one of those things. Especially at night. I don't mean I'm 'terrified' by the ocean but it does put me ill at ease. And it's not really what's *in* the ocean - like sharks, stinging jellyfish, Godzilla... nope... it's just the ocean itself.
When my son was in the Coast Guard his ship once sailed to the middle of the pacific ocean, almost dead middle, to do maintenance on a buoy. So they arrive at the buoy and park. (not sure 'park' is the correct term for a ship at rest in the middle of the ocean). Spent two days there. Captain allowed them to swim a little while there. Soooo......
Two days in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.... not even a 50sq ft island with a single coconut tree. Maybe what? 1,000 miles to the nearest land? That wouldn't even faze me were it that remote on land.... but the ocean?
I could do that.... but I wouldn't sleep well.
