The entire North half of the state had fires EVERYWHERE! Not to mention the air was hot and stagnant. We had a house fire in the midst of it all. When I came out to get some "fresh air", I yanked off my SCBA and took my coat off. I could NOT catch my breath! I actually left my Coat of but breathed a few breaths from my SCBA till I settled down. But Florida was a MESS that year from March till about early / mid July........Also THE driest weather I have ever seen here. The ONLY time I have seen a Live Oak tree start to wilt.
