We have a Deli / Meat Market near us. They make an AWESOME Philly Cheese Steak but it's just too expensive. I don't care HOW good it is, no sandwich is worth $14. When we go out, my days of having a drink or two BEFORE Dinner are long gone. In fact, more n more, I just order water. Another thing with me...I tip maybe TOO well. If my service is halfway decent, I really appreciate it. My Brother spent about 12 years in the Restaurant Business, from a Cook up to Asst Manager at Bennigans in the early 90s. It's hard work that gets more gripes than kudos.
More n more, me and my Wife hit simple places like our favorite Mexican place or Sonny's BBQ. Both of us can eat for about $30 at either place. I believe we went to Outback for the last time, 3-4 weeks ago. The Restaurant was worn and dated, service was...meh. And the food average at best. And I am NOT picky.
