As a kid I never realized that some TV "Stars" were local... that they weren't known nationwide.
Jimmy Weldon was different, however... he had a local show but he also worked across the USA and was on national TV often.
Same with the Slim Andrews The Forty-Niner. (Not football
) Local but also known Nationwide.
But Al Radka was local only, (I'm pretty sure).... and it amazes me that no one outside of the Fresno broadcasting area has any idea of who Al Radka was. "The FIRST of TWO THREE Stooges".
I don't think anyone loved Fresno and promoted anything "Fresno" more than Al.
