L.A. Times

July 11, 2023 06:49AM
Been a subscriber for most of my adult life. Before that the Herald Examiner. Unfortunately, the Times has gotten thinner and thinner each year for the last 10 years. The sports section is the latest to fall. They no longer will have box scores, standings, and other details but instead have changed into a magazine like format with historical articles, essays, etc. I've always been a box score fanatic following favorite players in the MLB like Seeger, Bellinger, Hernandez, Jansen, Turner (Trea and Justin), etc. I enjoy seeing how close races are even in leagues other than the National West. I enjoy looking at the morning paper to see what sports will be on TV or radio that day or evening. Not sure what the NFL or NBA coverage will look like. I'm a progressive but not so much when it comes to sports coverage in the media. In fact I'm a nostalgic freak. ( "I remember back in the day..."winking smiley.
