Lots of stories that could actually inspire young people. Instead , we get the continuous flow of a video game atmosphere. My Dad took me to see "Midway" in the Summer of 1976. That movie changed me. It's far from the best WWII flick but at age 9, I remember my Dad telling about the sacrifice of Torpedo Squadron #8. Those guys could be a movie by themselves. Just a bunch of regular Pilots. None were Aces or hyped. But they were drilled RELENTLESSLY by their Squadron Commander to simply have SOMEWHAT of a chance in planes they all knew were death traps. In fact...One of the Pilots had his Gunner sent to remedial training. The Pilot KNEW his Gunner's marksmanship was just fine but he knew he was a family man with a young Wife and two small babies at home. It saved his life. Today's young people NEED to see flicks that inspire and are TRUE. Hell, ADULTS could use it these days too. Instead......We will see Spider Man 37 next year or...Too Fast Too Furious Too STUPID 53.
