We shared a tiny room in the old 2/1 house we grew up in. He had a small AM radio. I can still see the faint amber glow on the station dial. On the little night stand /Dresser that separated our beds is where he kept that radio. Almost every night, he'd play it at a rather low volume. I remember he'd get excited when Brandy would come on. I also recall hearing Chicago's "Saturday In The Park and Hollies "Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress" around that time. My Brother was only 11 during that time but he went out and bought the 45 to "Brandy".
He kept that 45 long after it had been scratched and not really playable. Fast forward to early 1994. He met his future Wife. I'll give you ONE guess to what her name was. TOTAL coincidence! When they moved into their home that he remodeled, he had that 45 framed and hung on their Den wall. UUUUUGH!! Unfortunately, their Marriage crashed n burned about 4 years later. He got pissed and threw out the framed 45.
