At the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Ed Lauramore was a staple of my old neighborhood. He was also my Step Dad's best friend. The guy was a Vietnam Vet who was wounded over there. He ALWAYS was a positive guy and influence to us youngsters. AS USUAL, his Funeral brought people together who I have not seen in YEARS. I also found through one of those people that the Wife of the Neighborhood Mentor....Mr Finn....passed away 2 years ago. Mrs Finn was a very sweet lady. It was a bitter sweet day but DANG IT, I feel like my old stomping ground took a REALLY big hit. Makes it seem distant and smaller for some reason.
THIS is what my Grandfather warned me about (Getting older / loss) in June 1978.
