Read a Midway book many moons ago where the Pilots said between the red circle and the almost bright yellow decks in the sun, it almost came across as arrogant. I read Dusty Kliess' book 2 years ago. He had hits on the Kaga AND the Hiryu later the same day. He said that HE aimed for the red circles.
