I was just looking thru the menu at the Norwich restaurant my granddaughter just dined at and saw that they had:
"Pan Fried Lamb Liver With Bacon"... and I started salivating. But I think that 'liver' might be the most universally hated food? I would 'guess' that no more than 10% could get one bite down without upchucking?
I've written before that there are really only a couple food items I don't like... although BOTH I can eat but only served a certain way. Those two would be Buttermilk and Sweet Pickles. Alone I can tolerate neither... or let me restate that.. they don't make me sick. I could partake of both and be ok... but I'd never willingly partake of either.
However... a small dose of sweet pickles on a tuna sandwich? Fine. Buttermilk Pancakes? Delicious.
So ok'.... only two I can say "I don't like" because I've eaten both.... BUT, there are many I have never eaten...and won't. Brains. Just the idea.... that's a big no for me. Kidney's. Nope, never had them and never will. Neither one of those makes a lot of sense for me since I've had, and liked, both cow and sheep balls.
Some of the most loved foods I am ambivalent towards. Chicken.... I do not dislike Chicken but it does nothing for me. Of all fowl Chicken is the worst to me. Pheasant is the best. Horse meat.... ehhhh, again, blah. Only had it a couple of times, in France, and didn't know that's what I was getting until I asked.
I know people whose list of foods they hate outnumber, by far, those they do like. I feel sorry for those people... but, I suppose they are fine with it. - JamesJM
