So, moving on to the car AC issue..

April 08, 2023 07:25AM
All the freon has leaked out of the TR7's AC system.. Normally it takes 3-4 years for it all to leak out.. This time it leaked out in a year.. So, I hook the cheapo AC kit up to it (cuz I don't wanna bother my father in law as I usually do, who has a full-blown AC gauge setup) on the low pressure side and the gauge says its completely empty - 0 psi on the gauge..

So, I hook up a can of freon and start trying to fill the system.. Instructions say to check the pressure every 15 seconds by pulling the trigger on the gauge set up.. Even tho the system has NO freon in it, when I check the pressure with a can hooked up, it goes in the red, showing too much freon in the system, which can damage the system..

Anyone have any thoughts on this? This happened to me last year, as well, and I had to get my father in law to help.. He got it totally full, but had some issues with it along the way.. He also was able to evacuate the system, and I can't because I don't have the proper gear, so that may be the issue..

Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
