He and I were / are Trekkies. We both must have built 3-4 AMT Starship Enterprises each! A few years before he passed in May 2011, we had talked of doing what we did in the mid 70s...Build Enterprise kits together again. We never did. For YEARS, we used to think just HOOOOW cool would it be to have a Enterprise models with working lights AND lit and spinning engine nacells. RIGHT around the time he passed, Polar Lights came out with a 1/350 scale Enterprise that with a separately sold light package, you could build it JUST LIKE the show, with the spinning engines. I never got them. In 2010, the model and light kit together was about $90. NOW???????? On Ebay , it runs about $500 +
