but I remember having all three movie networks - HBO,Showtime, and Cinemax, and I taped every single good movie I could.. then I'd buy the ones I really liked.. I just threw a bunch of those recorded VHS tapes out about 4 -5 years ago.. I only kept a couple of my fav movies on VHS even tho I don't have a working VCR anymore.. I had a 4 head stereo VCR I bought later in life and the sound was outstanding on it.. its a shame it doesn't work anymore..

We sued to rent from mostly Hastings, then Blockbuster and at least one other place.. Getting a DVD player was SO much cooler.. But I'll always have a soft spot for VHS because I fell so in love with it when it first came out..
