Its kind of a top hat..

but made of leather and isn't as stiff as a traditional top hat - but it does have the top hate vibe, only with leather and studs.. I also have a white leather one just like it with no studs.. I actually have never worn either outside the house - both were given to me by the guy who made them and 3 custom leather jackets I have.. He was the lead guitarist from the band Funhouse in the 80's.. They had one or two LPs..

Vets nowadays immediately grow goatees after retirement.. I worked with a LOT of active duty guys over the years and every single one of them grew a goatee when they retired.. Still have them.. Its almost like a prerequisite for retirement from the armed forces..
